Choose between the zippy Getz S which features an economical 1.4 L engine with 70 kW of power and 124.5 Nm of torque, or opt for a bit more muscle with Getz SX, which features a gutsy 1.6 L engine that produces 78 kW of power and a handy 144 Nm of torque.

Power Steering

With Getz, parking in a tight spot is a snap. Steering effort is minimised via a power assisted rack and pinion steering system, and the column tilt-adjust puts you firmly in control.

Safety

4 Wheel disc brakes

Stop with the reassurance of an upgraded braking package. Ventilated front discs and solid rear discs give you the sure footedness that you expect in a luxury car.

The Getz 1.6 SX features front-vented discs and rear solid discs, giving you reduced brake fade and shorter braking distances.

The Getz 1.4 S also has the sturdy ventilated front disc brakes combined with rear drum brakes that combine to bring it to halt quickly and effectively.

Anti-skid Braking System (SX)

Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) is a life-saving innovation that helps you stay under control in emergency situations by sensing if any wheel is locking-up, and immediately releasing brake pressure on that wheel before reapplying it.

Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) (SX)

Incorporated with ABS (on SX model) EBD assists in abrupt and hard braking by distributing braking force according to your vehicle's load, which maximises braking power and minimises braking distance.

Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control System

In an emergency manoeuvre, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps keep the vehicle on track, while Hyundai's Traction Control System (TCS) monitors your grip, reducing wheel spin so that you can accelerate on slippery or uneven road surfaces.

Getz Protectz Enhanced Safety Packs

Enhance on your 1.4 S model's road security with an optional Protectz enhanced safety pack that comprises Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS) as well as Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). The optional Protectz pack for the 1.6 SX model includes an intelligent driver's seatbelt reminder as well as front side (thorax) air bags that provide added protection to the driver and front passenger in the event of a side impact.

Reinforced Body Integrity

Getz boasts a reinforced body and chassis with a rigid cabin for occupant protection, together with front and rear crumple zones to absorb impact. These are supported by side impact beams and strengthened window sills for additional side-on protection.

Front active head restraints, standard on all Getz models, offer superior whiplash protection in the event of a rear impact. They use the force of the occupant's body against the seatback to move the head restraint forward so that the head and neck of the front-seat occupant are supported.
