Electric Mirrors

i20's power side mirrors make it easy to get the best view of the road behind you, and on the 5-door models the two side mirrors are electronically controlled and can be completely folded inwards - ideal for parking in tight spaces.

Wheel Design

While the Active is fitted with 15" steel wheels, the Elite is fitted with 15" alloy wheels and the Premium with 16" dual six-spoke alloy wheels (displayed to the right). Wheel covers are bolted on for added safety and security and all grades carry a full size spare in the same finish.

All models in the MY11 i20 range will have integrated Bluetooth®* technology through the audio system which acts as a hands-free device for your mobile phone, enabling you to stream music directly from your Bluetooth®# compatible mobile phone or media device. The Bluetooth® audio system will also give you full control of your iPod® via the USB, allowing you to utilise the standard cable supplied with your iPod.

Adjustable Steering Wheel And Driver's Seat

To provide perfect driving comfort, the steering wheel can be tilted and telescopically adjusted, while the height of the driver's seat cushion is easy to adjust.

There are generous built-in pockets in both front doors, as well as a pocket in the rear of the front passenger's seat, giving plenty of space for maps, books and more. In addition, on Elite and Premium there's a built-in hook at the rear of the front passenger seat for hanging bags or dry cleaning.

To help keep goods secure, the boot is fitted with an elasticised cargo net that can be mounted flat or hammock-style.

Available with a 1.4 or 1.6 litre 16-valve engine with up to 91 kW of powerful fun and either a super-slick 5-speed manual transmission or HiVec automatic transmission that adapts to your driving style, i20 delivers the power and fuel economy you demand. And with a fuel consumption of just 6.0 litres per 100 km for the 1.4 manual#, i20 lets you go further.

i20's safety story begins with engineering quality. Its reinforced body features a rigid cabin with front and rear crumple zones. The doors are also fitted with side impact intrusion bars for extra protection.

With a comprehensive six-airbag system, including front and rear passenger side curtains standard on Elite and Premium, i20 will protect you as well as it performs.

Active Safety

i20 is loaded with technology that helps you avoid potentially dangerous situations. When you encounter difficult or unexpected driving situations, you can rest assured that i20's active safety systems are constantly working behind the scenes, giving you extra assistance when required.

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) enhances safety under emergency braking situations by preventing your brakes from locking up and distributing braking force according to your vehicle's load.

Similarly, in an emergency manoeuvre, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps keep the vehicle on track, while Hyundai's Traction Control System (TCS) monitors your grip, reducing wheel spin so that you can accelerate on slippery or uneven road surfaces.

Keyless Entry With Alarm & HALO

In addition to remote keyless entry i20 offers extra personal security with the Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO)1 system, which locks all the doors when your driving speed reaches 40 km/h, and then unlocks them once the key is removed from the ignition.
