Dusk Sensing Auto Headlights

Rain-Sensing Wipers

To help you keep your eyes and mind on the road, i45 comes equipped with rain-sensing wipers that not only start when moisture is detected but also determine the wiper speed required to maintain a clear view.

Electric Folding Side Mirror

To ensure maximum visibility of your turn signal, the side mirrors incorporate LED repeater lights. You can also fold them up and away electronically, to avoid risk of damage when parking in tight spaces.

Reverse Parking Sensors

When you're reverse parking or manoeuvring into tight spaces, the Park Assist's ultrasonic sensors give you added assurance by emitting a warning sound when you're getting too close to objects at the rear of the vehicle. Park Assist also provides a graphic display on the dashboard to assist you further.

Climate Control Air Conditioning Unit With Cluster Ionizer

The fully automated air conditioning system (Elite and Premium) provides easily adjustable advanced climate control with separate rear console air vents. Panorama Glass Roof

The Premium features a full length three-piece panorama glass roof with power tilt/slide adjustment that produces a fresh light-filled driving experience. Motorised roller blinds provide UV protection and help reduce heat build-up within the vehicle.

Developed by Hyundai engineers over almost four years, at a cost of more than $150 million, the 2.4 litre Theta-II engine utilises the latest gasoline direct injection (GDi) technology to run cleanly and efficiently, producing up to 148 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque for effortless performance.

Combined with a six-speed automatic transmission, it can deliver an impressive 7.9 L/100 km*. To help you achieve the best economy and reduce your running costs further, i45 is equipped with an in-dash Eco-indicator that prompts fuel-efficient driving.

Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters add a tactile feel to your drive by letting you control precisely when to upshift or downshift the six-speed automatic transmission.

Safety

Strength & Protection

i45 features dual front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact bags and front and rear side curtain airbags. Active front head restraints move instantly up and forward during a rear-end collision to help cushion the head to provide extra protection against whiplash injury.

The use of ultra-high tensile steel and application of thermal stamping method has resulted in a tougher more rigid body shell. Similarly, side impact beams, integrated front and rear crumple zones, strengthened window sills and safety engineered doors with guard beams significantly increases occupant protection.

Active Safety

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) enhances safety under emergency braking situations by preventing your brakes from locking up and distributing braking force according to your vehicle's load.

Similarly, in an emergency manoeuvre, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps keep the vehicle on track, while Hyundai's Traction Control System (TCS) monitors your grip, reducing wheel spin so that you can accelerate on slippery or uneven road surfaces.

Other active safety technologies include a reverse detection warning system to guard against unseen objects behind the vehicle and auto dusk-sensing headlights.

Hill-Start Assist Control & Brake Assist System

Throughout i45 a myriad of cutting edge technologies are constantly at work, making the driving experience easier, safer and more satisfying.

For example, when stopped on a steep incline, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) technology helps minimises back roll by momentarily holding the vehicle while you move your foot from the brake to the accelerator. Similarly, the Brake Assist System (BAS) comes into play in an emergency stopping situation, reducing braking distance by applying the maximum brake oil pressure.
