A New Concept in Vehicle Design

The aerodynamic character lines inspired by Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture' design language, create a streamlined exterior that looks as though it's been carved by light rays. Muscular wheel arches combine with a low stance, hood detailing and character lines that continually ebb and flow to create a sense of movement and balance.

Hidden Door Handle

To maintain the integrity of the Velosters two door coupe styling, the handle to the third door is hidden in the window frame.

PANORAMIC SUNROOF (Veloster+ only)

With the touch of a button, the full-length two-piece panoramic sunroof transforms the comfortable cabin by filling it with light and air. A motorised blind provides UV protection and minimises heat build-up inside the cabin when the roof is closed.

Bolstered sports bucket seats for the driver and front passenger enhance the coupé feel and provide high levels of support to reduce fatigue during long journeys. The 60:40 split folding rear seats increase luggage carrying capacity and allow extra room for unusual shaped items.

AUTO CLIMATE CONTROL (Veloster + only)

Once you've set the desired temperature, the auto air conditioning system takes care of the rest, ensuring the interior climate remains constant and comfortable.

An impressive 7-inch multimedia touch screen dominates the centre console and supports a range of advanced applications and systems. It provides access to stream music and talk hands free via integrated Bluetooth® connectivity to your mobile, you can even watch movies while you're parked. The rear view camera and the Blue Max Eco Guide (which encourages fuel-efficient driving) are also delivered through the one-touch LCD screen.

Premium sound system

The premium audio system turns the Veloster into a mobile sound lounge. It includes connectivity for iPod® and MP3 player devices, and is powered by an external amplifier and features four speakers, two tweeters, plus a centre speaker and a subwoofer.

STEERING WHEEL REMOTE CONTROLS

Remote control switches on the steering wheel provide you with fingertip control over the operation of the audio and Bluetooth® functions, the auto cruise control and the trip computer. This makes long distance driving less strenuous and more enjoyable.

PROXIMITY SMART KEY & PUSH BUTTON START (Veloster + only)

Proximity key technology enables you to lock and unlock your Veloster without taking the key from your pocket or bag. Similarly, the push button start allows you to turn on the ignition without having to insert the key.

The suspension has been specifically tuned for Australian road conditions and features a range of engineering technologies that provide a smooth ride and nimble handling.

EcoShift™ DOUBLE Clutch Transmission (DCT) WITH PADDLE SHIFTERS

The Veloster's 6-speed double clutch transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters enables lightning fast gear changes and features an electric motor-type clutch that provides better fuel efficiency, fast and smooth automated gear changes, and an uninterrupted transfer of power.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION

The 6-speed manual transmission is built with a key and ball-type synchromesh, and ooptimised gear teeth for enhanced precision and smoother shifting.

MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING (MDPS)

Veloster features sports-tuned electric power steering that adjusts instantly to changing driving conditions and helps save fuel.

TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS)

Displayed in the cluster, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) alerts you when the tyre pressure is low so you can take action.

ENGINE

The Veloster's responsive and robust new engine is lightweight, quiet and vibration free. It utilises a highly efficient Gasoline Direct Injection (GDi) fuel system to improve engine performance, fuel economy and lower exhaust emissions, while Dual CVVT increases torque through better-optimised valve operation.

The Veloster has achieved the maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating. It comes standard with numerous active and passive safety safety technologies which are designed to help the driver stay in control at all times.

6 AIRBAGS

With a system of 6 airbags including driver and front passenger airbags, nearside and offside curtain airbags, as well as left and right front seat side airbags, the Veloster takes every precaution to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a collision.

DUAL CENTRE RAIL ROOF

Providing further protection in a collision, both the dash cross member and side members, as well as the roof structure and pillars are made from reinforced steel.

REAR VIEW CAMERA AND PARK ASSIST

To help you when parking and reversing, a camera built into the tailgate handle sends an image of the area behind the vehicle to the centre console's 7" LCD screen and sounds an audible alarm when an obstacle is detected.

VEHICLE STABILITY MANAGEMENT

Introducing the next generation in safety. Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) uses state-of-the-art technology to help keep you in control. In slippery conditions or sudden cornering scenarios the VSM system helps maintain control of the vehicle by applying counter-steering assistance, guiding the driver to the correct steering position.
